I remember Herman my "Oom" (Uncle) Herman as a nice gentle man when I was young and was able to visit Canada. Many years later when his brother my father passed away, Herman and Jean came to comfort our part of the Jobsis family and be there for my mom, sister and myself. I learned more about what my kind Uncle had experienced as a child survivor of concentration camps, and the great joy and pride he had for his wife and adult children in Canada. We had one visit after that. in Canada, staying at the family home in Canada. Knowing Herman was and is, a gift, and his family greatly miss him.

Condolences to you and your family, from Sarah.
