Terry was born on December 8, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, to John and Ava Hurley, and always embraced life with a free spirit, passion, and an adventurous heart.

He was well traveled, having lived in a variety of locations as he followed his heart and family from the midwest, to the Caribbean Islands, to the southwest, Washington, D.C., and ultimately to Virginia.

He is also survived by his nephews, Damian Hurley (TX), Gavin Hurley (CA), and Morgan Hurley (MD).
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ava Hurley, and his brothers, Edward and Michael Hurley.
Terry's presence, laughter, and love will be deeply missed, but the joy and memories he shared will live on forever. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In honor of his love for animals, donations may be made in his memory to the Humane Society of Warren County, VA or to Blue Ridge Hospice.
