Sylvia LAGAH Obituary

Of Featherston. On 16 July 2023 suddenly, aged 76. Dearly loved wife of the late Chand. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Stu (dec) and Tanisha, Jill and Peter. Loved stepmother to Chand's children Karen, Zandrea, Sacha, Shanti and their families. Loved Nanny of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A loved sister, sister-in-law, auntie and friend to many. In lieu of flowers a donation to Wellington Free Ambulance (Wairarapa Service) wfa.org.nz would be appreciated and may be left at the service. A service for Sylvia will be held in the Richmond Chapel, Richmond Rd, Carterton, on Monday 24th July 2023 at 2.00pm followed by private cremation at Clareville. Oh Sylvia, I have only just found out that you have left us. I first met you in October 1966 when I arrived in Australia and we have been friends since - even though for most of the time since we have lived on opposite sides of the world.
I have sent so many emails these past few months as I hadn't heard from you since May this year, of course I had no replies - I am so sad, I miss you so much.
Rest in Peace my very dear friend - God bless.

Sincere condolences to the whanau. Sylvia was a huge part of my Greytown library days and was always so warm and welcoming. A life of service bringing the joy of books and reading to generations. RIP Sylvia XOXO
