Our condolences to Chris and Ian´s wider family and friends
Ian was known to our family through Debs and her marriage to my brother. Through these relatively brief connections with Ian it was clear that he was `salt of the earth´ kiwi bloke. In my dealings with anyone from Wairoa they all knew Ian. They all said he was a good man who had great human skills of the trade and had helped so many people in Wairoa. My sister in law Debs did mention once that Ian was overjoyed when he found out that cutting up the potatoes smaller will allow to help the mash. Don´t know why but it made me laugh and I always think of Ian when doing the mash. The world is a better place for knowing him. Rest in Peace friend.

Sincere condolences to Chris and the Family.
Ian, it was lovely to have made your acquaintance, even for only a short time. We thank you for your kindness shown to us, the chat's over the fence and your sense of humour. It's been a priviledge for us both. The hood won't be the same without you. Rest in Peace now. From Heather and Dave.
