Frances Hurley Obituary

Frances Sue Hurley, 83 of Lexington, formerly of Pineville, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. She was born in Pineville on August 27, 1942, a daughter of the late Freeman and Eulean Deaton Johnson, Jr. Frances had been a Registered Nurse for 32 years at the Pineville Community Hospital.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Charles Hurley; son, Charles Steven Johnson; brother, Freeman Johnson, Jr.; and sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Vernon Lawson.
Frances is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Anita Jodi and Dennis Davenport; son, John Michael Hurley; grandchildren, Sydney and Bret White, Justin and Daisy Davenport, Lindsey Hurley, Chloe Jurley, and Jace Hurley; great-grandchild, Phoebe Davenport; sister, Thelma Jean Johnson; brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Delilah Johnson; sister-in-law, Barbara Lawson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Sanders presiding. Burial will follow at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Michael Hurley, Dennis Davenport, Justin Davenport, Bret White, and Jace Hurley.
