Grant McKAY Obituary

Grant passed away peacefully at home on 19 December 2025, aged 69. Much loved Dad and mate of Shane (Mt Isa). Father of Amy. Loved brother, brother-in-law, friend and travel buddy of Judith Treleaven (deceased), and Helen and Stuart Roper. Loved Uncle 'Grunta' to 8 nieces and nephews and their partners, and 13 great-nieces and nephews.

"Your stories will be missed."

In accordance with Grant's wishes, a private cremation and gathering has been held. Messages to the McKay Family, C/o PO Box 439, Napier 4140.

It is a very long time since I have seen Grant and that is a great shame. I was very sorry to hear this news. He was manager at ASB when I got to Warkworth and he helped to make things a lot easier for me. We did rugby trips too and he was a great entertainer and larger than life. Sorely missed. My sympathies to his whole family. RIP my old friend
