I was both at NZDRI with Lindsay and much later he worked with me at Massey University. I often found him frustrating - he'd demolish my brilliant idea, test it against fundamentals and against his experience and come back with a better version. Tough on the ego but great for the job. That is why I kept working with him - good mind, great engineer, excellent teamwork. I need him right now on another problem - missing him already.

Lindsay was a true gentleman-soft spoken, kind, and always thoughtful. He carried himself with quiet dignity and warmth, and his caring nature left a lasting impression. He had a way of staying in touch that made you feel genuinely valued. My deepest sympathies to Lindsay´s family.

Lindsay holds the upmost respect in my mind as a colleague and also at a personal level. I appreciated Lindsay's help and guidance at the Dairy Research Institute, and at later times when Lindsay moved on from Fonterra. We have lost a kind, caring and intelligent person. My regards go out to Lindsay's family at this time, in losing Lindsay.

Dear Anne and family, Condolences to you all at this sad time. Lindsay and I corresponded for many years regarding family history matters in which he was interested. No doubt there were other sections of his family he would investigate when time permitted. Sorry to hear that he passed away suddenly. Be strong as you face the days ahead. God bless.
