Arthur WHITE Obituary
August 9, 1954 to May 24, 2022. Eldest son of Arthur Edward Percy White and June Esther White (nee Grant) (both dec). On Tuesday morning, May 24, Arthur cast his lines one last time and set sail for the great gig in the sky. Arthur/Dad/Grandad/Brother White - Philosopher, Adventurer, Teacher, Carpenter, Skipper of Elwing and lover of all people will be deeply missed by Barbara (nee Hawke) his soul mate of 44 years; children Ann, Edward and Carly, Katie and Scott; and his treasured grandchildren Oliver, Jacob and Aidan Jones, Charlie, Charlotte and Harry White, and Skye, Ezra, Angus and Kelly Moodie, also his dogs Rontu and Aru. We invite you to join us for a celebration of Arthur's life on Saturday, May 28, at 2.00pm, Leitch Memorial Hall, Taieri Mouth. Messages to 9 Akatore Road, RD1, Brighton, Dunedin 9091.

RIP Arthur I only learnt of your passing last night on social Media, on a post for your great teachers - thank you for teaching me woodwork and Tech Drawing at Kings, the stuff you taught us in such a short time before I left Kings has helped through my life as DIY - thanks for the encouragement to join the NZDF way back in 1988, of all the teachers at Kings you were the only one who wished me luck and told me to have a ball and enjoy - I did for 23 years. I never got back to say thank in person, I returned to Dunedin in 2017 but was told you were in Southland on your yacht .

Dear Barbara I am so sad to hear that Arthur has passed on. I remember when he first came to outward Bound all those years ago. I am sure he will be missed by many. My condolences to you and your family. Audrey ,Shane and Lawrence Paterson x
