Mrs Kitto was a very big part of my childhood. She was the mum of my best friend at primary school Colleen and my Guide leader at Tamaha.
She always welcomed me into her home which was most weekends and after school !
I have many memories, my most memorable are a fishing trip with the family around the Abel Tasman and having lots of laughs, Building a hot air balloon in her laundry and the most delicious peanut chocolate shortcake on this planet !
the awesome things she set up for us to do on Guide night, everything from tracking to making and cooking dampers down the beach at Mapua.
Mrs Kitto was the last of our mothers to pass in my group of childhood friends so for me it´s the end of an era but how wonderful is it that a person can have such a lasting influence on another persons life.
I knew her best as a child / young person but her influence has stayed with me through my life and now in my 60s I look back with a lot of fondness.
Thankyou Mrs Kitto and Colleen for many many wonderful memories.

My thoughts are with Audrey's family and friends. Unfortunately I am unable to be there to celebrate Audrey today. I first met Audrey some 20 years ago when I first joined the Nelson Lioness Club. Whilst Audrey was a member of the Nelson Haven Lioness Club, our clubs came together at odd times for fun and fellowship especially at our annual Lioness forum's usually in Hanmer Springs. We always had a great ole knees up along with lots of off key singing and much hilarity. If anything was happening in our club, Audrey would always be there, supporting us. Even though Audrey's Lioness club disbanded a couple of years ago, members from both clubs have enjoyed some special gatherings. Audrey will be missed but never forgotten.
