Elaine STODDART Obituary

We are sad to announce the passing of Elaine. Elaine died peacefully at Green Gables on Thursday, October 10, 2024, 5 months after the diagnosis of a totally unexpected and very aggressive brain cancer. Beloved wife of Nick Short, daughter of Lily and Ronald (deceased), sister to Craig and Paul and the late Ian, stepmother and in-law to Matt and Heidi, Nicola and Damian, grandmother, aunty and friend to Colette, Callum, Te Tohu, Amy, Russell, Kelsey, Dominic, and Megan. A cherished friend to many both here in Nelson and overseas. The family sends thanks and gratitude to all who cared for her, visited her, and sent their love over the last month. A private cremation occurred on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
