Lawrence COOPER Obituary

Passed away peacefully at Stillwater Life Care after a special day out celebrating his birthday with family on Sunday, August 13, 2023. Loved father and father-in-law of Natalie and Darryl, Sharlene and Philip, and Alan. Loved grandad of Steven, Hannah and Ethan. A service to celebrate Lawrie's life will be held at the Shone and Shirley Funeral Home, 164 Tahunanui Drive, at 1.30pm, on Tuesday, August 22, followed by a private family cremation. Messages can be left online at www.shoneandshirley.com/tributes or sent to the family c/- Shone and Shirley, 164 Tahunanui Drive, Nelson 7011. Donations in lieu of flowers can be sent to the Heart Foundation.

So sorry to hear of Lawrie's passing. My late husband Phil worked with Lawrie building houses. Phil learned so many life long skills from him, and Phil spoke of Lawrie regularly over the years with fond memories as we were doing a project that involved building something. I met Lawrie on a number of occasions when I would visit the building sites. Lawrie was always smiling and joking around with Phil.
I hope the two of them are now enjoying a hard earned beer together, in the heavens above.
My sympathy to you all at this difficult time.
