Dear Peter, Darryl, Judith, Denise and families
It is with fond Memories I remember Mother Ham, over so many decades, early years up the valley and in more recent times having a good chat in the supermarket. Always a joke to tell (I remember one she told me when I first went nursing), the broad smile and interest in hearing of our family.
A great friend and support to Beth and Bill, Beth and Maureen spending time to spring clean each other's houses after harvesting had finished.
Not sure if her boob ever recovered after pinching it in the extendable Formica table after a kid's birthday party.
Dogs getting into the kitchen and licking the cream off the sponges she had made for the Cricket Cabaret Supper, no problem whip some more cream, clean off the top of the sponge, no one will know until she told Bill not to eat the sponge at supper time.
As you come to terms with your loss, take care and cherish the memories.
So sorry that I cannot be there for her farewell (now living in Lower Hutt).
Kind Regards
Maureen and Maurice Higgs and on behalf of Beverley, Dennis and Lindsay
