I had Mr Gardner as a teacher at Bruce Mclaren Intermediate School in 1986. He was such nice man, a person that I always wanted to cross paths with again and now regret that I never did. He used to tell us hilarious stories about his time in Canada with his mates.
I especially remember the ones about his mate Arnie, who used to get in all sorts of trouble. We were so lucky to have a teacher with a great sense of fun like Mr Gardner at a time when it was ok to talk to kids about mischief, I had a great time and learned a great deal about life, in his class. Well done on an exemplary life Sir.
