MURPHY, Richard James. 13 October 1946 21 March 2026 Richard passed away peacefully at North Shore Hospital after a short illness. Beloved husband of Karen, devoted dad and step-dad to Natalie, Emma and Lisa and father-in-law to Jim. Adored Poppy of Leila, Millie, Eddie, Roberto, Frida, Jordan and Kyle and great-grandad of Audrey-Rose. Richard was a wonderful mentor to all his grandchildren. He deeply loved his family and the many friends around the world. He was passionate about his golf, aviation, chess and loved a good laugh. A soaring eagle always rises. In accordance with Richard's wishes a private cremation has been held. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday 29 April 2026 at the Milford Cruising Club, 24 Craig Road, Milford from 3.00pm - 7 pm.
