Frances Muriel (Fran)
(formerly Vercoe, nee Hansen):
Peacefully at home, Arrowtown, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, May 21, 2022. Loved wife of the late Scott Powell, dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Shona Vercoe (Dunedin), Margaret and Richie Clark (Cromwell), Sandra and George Page (Arrowtown), cherished grandmother of Daniel* and Scott Wysockyj, Ryan Vallily; Calvin, Michael and Lisa Clark, Bradley Page, and proud great-Gran of her nine great-grandchildren. Stepmother of Joe* and Lourdes Powell, and special friend of Willie Solomon. A service for Fran will be held at St John's Presbyterian Church, Arrowtown, on Wednesday, May 25 at 2.00pm, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations for Arthritis Foundation and Save the Children would be appreciated. We are sorry to read that Fran has passed away. We have many happy memories of her and Scott at Parawa and she was a wonderful friend to us and our boys. She will be missed by many.

Fran was a lovely neighbour and friend. We enjoyed listening to her stories of Arrowtown over the years. We benefitted from her great baking skills and great recipes.We both loved our cats. Watching the rugby with Fran is also a fond memory. We are thinking of all her family at this time.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Frances.She was a most gracious and lovely lady.A pleasure to have known her and most welcoming when we visited her.The last time being November 2021.
We will miss her on our next visit to Arrowtown.
Another relative has now left us.Most sad.
