Sorry to read of Hughs passing.
Was lucky to of had Hugh as a Southland rep coach many years ago, can still hear his Scottish accent yelling at us from the sidelines that continued through into the senior grades.
A very well respected man.
RIP

Such a fun time for parents and players alike how that man loved his Soccer. As a family you must have some great memories share them to keep Hughie in you hearts.

Sending our love and condolences to Fay, Tony, Alison, Gregor and Callum on the passing of Hughie. I Have a lot of memories of Hughie from sharing Christmas Days and him visiting Christchurch but the two stand out ones are dancing on the tables with Hughie at the Football clubrooms and playing cards and having a few drinks one New Years Eve. Fly high Hughie. Love Steph, Pete and Olivia xx

The small man with a lot of character and a voice you could hear accross the golf course. Was fantastic with the kids, and all the coaching he did with the them for soccer. I always remember him telling me that everything would be perfect if he could only get that green grass to grow blue. Glenda and I had a lot of laughs over the years with Fay and Hughie and our sincere sympathy to Fay, Tony and Dean and families. He was an icon who will always be remembered.
