James AUSTIN Obituary

Peacefully in his sleep, on Monday, September 29, 2025. Dearly loved husband of the late Jean, much loved father and father-in-law of Brad, Sarah, Todd and Kirsty, treasured grandfather of Lily, George, Alby and Jed, loved brother of Paul and Di.

Forever loved and remembered.

A service for Bryce will be held at The Gate Conference Room, 6 Barry Avenue, Cromwell, on Saturday, October 4 at 2.00pm, followed by refreshments, livestream available – www.centralotagofunerals.co.nz. A burial will be held at the Riversdale Cemetery on Sunday, October 5 at 2.30pm.

Bryce, A friend who welcomed me and my family into his world with pure love. Your stories ( which we re are plenty ) I will miss listening to.
I met Bryce and Jean in 1995 as a rep for Fisher and Paykel and kept in contact ever since. Bryce insisted I had to stay at his house when in the area and I will always remember the generosity and love shared by both of them.

Thoughts with the family. A good schoolmate from 60 years ago, one of the Riversdale troika who entered SKC in 1965. Last saw Bryce when he was still in Balclutha quite a few years ago now. A real gentleman.
