I was privelledge to know Ken, as a Otatara resident in 70s, 80s and played golf at Oreti Sands with him in foursomes, enjoyed watching him racing, at the Southland Power Boat Club, down the road from our home.
In 1987, I was going thru a rough patch, when I got a call from Ken, who had heard about my situation, offering me a position as Manager to run the Masonic Club, Social Club Venue. Ken was my Boss, and I had the most enjoyable working relationship for 3years. Ken was never judgemental, always listen to any of my madcap ideas, and supported me to run a united club, and had many memorable social , nights, mini sports afternoons, and a super NYE party. Thanks for the memories Ken, I was indebted to you.

Can remember Ken as a very avid golfer at Oreti Sands, good times remembering Ken finishing after playing in blasting winds and rain.
