Retired Dietician and Teacher. Unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. Loved wife of Meyrick Carruthers*. Much loved mother of Rosemary, Margaret, Michelle, and Elizabeth. Loved Daughter of Wilfred Sanders* and Mary Holmes*. Special cousin of David Karena-Holmes, and a friend of Colin Druce, Graham Clark, Blair Jones massage therapist, and Rev. Rob Pendreigh. Thank you to the staff at Marne Street Hospital for their care and support of Maire this year. Maire's funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 23, at 11.00am, in Leishman's Chapel, 12 James Street, Balclutha, then leaving for Clinton Cemetery.
