Maurice BALLOCH Obituary

Passed away in the loving care of Resthaven staff on August 11, 2023, on his 90th Birthday. Dearly loved husband, soulmate and best friend of Gwen. Loving father of Christine and Richard Gould (Ashburton), Fiona and Robert* Maxwell (Auckland), Steven and Lynda Balloch (Balclutha), Paul and Prakaidao (Thailand) Deryn and David* Cullen(Waikaka), Sandra and Graeme Deaker (Waikaka Valley), Leanne and Jo (Tasmania), Gaylene and Nigel Johnston (Chatton), loved grandad and great-grandad of all his grandchildren. Loved brother of Ray, Ngaire, Don, and uncle to his nieces and nephews. Loved brother-in-law of Lynda and Colin Nicholson, Cherril and Keith* Butler, Lesley and Fiona Cooper (*denotes deceased). A service to celebrate Maurice's life will be held at the Gore RSA Function Room, Bowler Ave, at 10.30am on August 16, followed by burial at Charlton Park Cemetery. Our dear Maurie :- so many memories of time spent with my Grandma whom was especially fond of Maurie. You were so brave Gwen phoning to let me know of Maurie's passing - I thank you again for taking the time to do this. You certainly sounded much more able than me in the same situation.
