Dear Sam and Isabella, Heartbroken to hear the sad news of your beautiful Mum. She was such a rare diamond. We were great pals in San Francisco in the 90's and early 2000's. I used to call her 'Polly' and tell her to 'put the kettle on' each time we chatted (usually for hours) together or on the phone, we had so much fun together, so many great memories, wild, bonkers and kind, she had the biggest heart..she was so funny, I will always remember her crazy beautiful way.. She always wanted to come to Ireland, she just loved the craic. With our busy lives with kids on both sides of the world it never happened, maybe some day you guys will, you are truly so welcome in our home here in west cork if ever you do. Your Mum was so proud of you both, I do hope we get to meet you some day, Sue, Jonny (and kids Stella Jake and Beau)

Pam was a good friend whom I met during her time in San Francisco. I enjoyed spending time with her on hikes with the Cub Scouts and long chats after school drop off. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always joyful to be around. Sending heartfelt condolences to her family, especially Sam and Isabella.

Pamela is my sister-by-heart. We shared over 30 years of life, laughter, and tears. We traveled the world, trekked the Himalayas, and went to more concerts than I can count. From India to Zion, memories of our travels will be one of my life's greatest gifts. Whether we were getting lost in a new city or talking about everything and everyone over a bottle of wine, she was my constant.

Pamela will always be the kindest, funniest, and most generous soul I have known. As a Pediatric ICU nurse for decades, she held the lives of children in her hands with such grace and love, a true testament to her nurturing spirit. We shared many a night shift in the ICU keeping each other awake, making each other laugh, and sometimes crying in each other´s arms.

I will never forget our obsession with The Verve-or how we managed to get backstage!- She lived life fully, embracing every moment with laughter and strength. The world seems a little quieter now without Pam´s laughter, but I will carry it with me forever.

Isabella and Sam, you were her entire world. Your mother cherished you more than anything on this earth. She loved being your mother, and she was so proud of who you are becoming. Mark, Alex, Gabrielle and I love you both very much.

I can´t say goodbye, my friend. I´ll just say until our next great adventure.

Rest easy, Pam. I love you.

Always, Collette
or as Pam would say Colleeete

I was so sad to read about Pam's death. I taught Pam many years ago and had contact with her intermittently when she lived in San Francisco. Pam had a beautiful personality that filled spaces with joy, humour, vibrance and colour. I will think of her fondly, always, and I am so saddened by her death. Thinking of Pam's family, the School of Nursing at SIT who have lost a valued colleague and thinking of Pam's friends at this time.

Pam was a great friend of mine from the San Francisco chapter of her amazing life. She organized an orientation at the hospital which helped me get my nursing job. She played a part in organizing the Christening of our daughter at Mission Dolores,SF. She wore her heart on her sleeve. She was never afraid to sing loudly and dance dramatically and used the line I'm a nurse to get whatever she needed and we loved her for it all. Mrs. You left us far too soon . Isabella and Sam you were her greatest gift ever. Sending love to you all always. Maria, Malcolm and Molly Belle your flower girl. Xxx

I was deeply saddened to hear of Pam´s passing. I had the privilege of working with her at SIT when she returnedto NZ. During that time her innovation, dedication, and unwavering commitment to doing a fantastic job were a constant source of light. Pam brought energy, creativity, and heart into everything she did, and her influence on students, colleagues, and the wider nursing community was profound.

While she is no longer with us physically, her impact on nursing education will continue to be felt for many years to come. She leaves behind a legacy of excellence, compassion, and courage.

My heartfelt condolences go to Sam, Isabella, and all who loved her.
