Linda A. (Lombardo) Lindvall, 75, of St. Theresa Ave, Bristol (formerly of Scottsdale, AZ and South Weymouth, Ma.) passed away peacefully at home on January 2, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of Thomas R. Lindvall for 53 years.
Born in Malden, MA, she was the daughter of the late Rocco D. and Domenica "Minnie" (DeYeso) Lombardo. In addition to her husband, she is survived by: her daughter Christine Marie Maloof and her husband Daniel of Rehoboth; grandchildren: Eva Maloof and Reid Maloof; and sister Donna DeMattia and her husband Thomas of Woburn, MA.
She was predeceased by her daughter Jennifer Lee Lindvall; and her brother Michael L Lombardo.
Linda was a graduate of Saugus High School in Saugus, MA. She worked part time for UPS but was primarily a homemaker, pouring her heart into creating a warm loving home for her family.
She was known as Nonna to her two grandchildren who were her pride and joy. You could always find Linda at Reid's soccer games cheering loudly on the sidelines and she never missed gymnastics meets for Eva. Being present for them brought her endless happiness and her love for them was unmistakable.
Linda loved family gatherings, especially around the holidays. She had a special gift for making every birthday and occasion feel extra special. Bringing people together and celebrating those she loved was one of her greatest joys.
Linda had a strong faith, a sense of humor, a great big smile that always lit up the room and made everyone feel welcome and was always doing for others.
She had a deep love for the water where she found peace and happiness throughout her life. You would often find Linda at Colt State Park walking the family dog, Cooper, who she loved and adored. She also loved camping, crocheting, music and walking.
Up until the end, Linda continued to say "I Love you," a final and lasting reflection of the love she gave so freely throughout her life. She will be deeply missed and forever loved. The family will be forever grateful to all who helped care for her.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, May 16, 10 AM at St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main Street, Warren, RI 02885. Burial will be private.
