Hi Joce,
I was unable to navigate my way through the Fountains' website to send a tribute to Geoff. This is what I penned:
Geoff, I always saw you as my little brother with our lives so intertwined in the fifties and sixties. We had a lot to do with one another in those days as Patea was my second home. You taught the city boy to ride ponies and we got up to all sorts of mischief at 203 Egmont Street and on Gordon and Nola's farm.
In later years you and Joce were so entrepreneurial and so hard working on all the projects you took on.
Your last 20 years have been so challenging but you would not let them beat you. You are now free of pain - rest in peace "little brother"
My tribute acknowledges you as well Joce - be strong and have some "me time" as you reflect on the good times you had together.
Love from Wayne and MJ

I knew Geoff for many years although we did not have much face to face in recent years.
He was a good man. Called a spade a shovel and stood for what he believed in.
Thats how I will remember him.
He fought hard for life. not just with the cancer but for life as he lived it.
He is now free from pain at last.
To his family : To lose someone as vital as Geoff will make a huge hole. The hole never completely covers over which is a good thing as it means you will have lovely memories of a person who was loved. We only grieve for those we have loved.
Take care Joc

Well geoffie I'm at a lose for words. Even though we knew it was coming it still hits like a rock..Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being everything to me.. mentor, advisor, boss, and most importantly a friend. I am forever grateful to have had you and joce in my life. I wouldn't be who i am now without your love, support and encouragement. I'm sitting in Cyprus on my deck wishing i was there for joce. But knowing she's a strong lady and I will see her soon you'd love this place and I now know why the full moon was extra special this week. Fly high and free of pain my friend. Love you geoffie. Big virtual hug joce...

Jocelyn. So very sorry to read of the passing of Geoffrey. Cancer is a bugger of a disease. As a lady said to me once it is an unforgiving disease. My deepest sympathy is extended to you all. May all the lovely memories you have of Geoff be a constant reminder of him. Take care.
