Remembering the days at Huirangi with Fraser Irene and Lesley & Julie
One day not long after we moved to Huirangi I had recently met Irene and then when in NP one day went up to this lady who I thought was Irene to say hello--I was met with a blank stare!!--I later found out Irene had a twin sister!

We remember our old Huirangi neighbour fondly. A wonderful, strong and kind woman. We remember our past history of helping each other out on our farms so many years ago now. Our thoughts are with Lesley and Julie and their families.

Irene was such a strong, independent woman with gutsy resilience.
She was very faithful to her doggie companions Bryn and Squirt, loved her garden and her puzzle books. Our small neighbourhood will miss her quiet presence and steady service in caring for our shared driveway. It's our role now Irene. May she rest in peace.

Passed away at home on 23rd August 2025. Treasured and very much loved twin sister of Audrey, and sisters Lorraine and Valmai (deceased). The Jones Girls of Warea Road. Loved Aunty of Kenneth and Helen, Darren, Tracy and Shane. You were such a special member of our family. We will miss you. Rest in peace.
