Camille Meadows Obituary

Camille passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, with her daughter Amy and granddaughter Madelyn by her side. She is now free from pain, leaving behind a legacy of color, creativity, laughter, and love.

Born in Pocatello, Idaho, to Vaughton and Cleve Johnson, Camille was sweet, charming, and sunny from the start. She shared a close bond with her sister Carol, and together they grew up in their mother's beauty shop, entertaining patrons while learning good manners, straight posture, and how to carry themselves as ladies. Camille also studied ballet throughout her youth and developed a lifelong love of music, art, and fashion.

A proud Vandal, Camille attended the University of Idaho, where she thrived socially and creatively, earning numerous honors and lifelong friendships. She had style, confidence, and a sense of fun. There was even a persistent rumor that she once danced the Charleston on a table at a local watering hole.

Camille devoted herself wholeheartedly to her daughters, Ann and Amy, filling their childhood with music, laughter, and nightly bedtime "concerts" that remain treasured memories. Later, she built a successful career at IBM in Boise, excelling in a male-dominated field with confidence.

During her years at IBM, Camille reconnected with Craig Meadows, whom she married in 1994. Camille embraced Craig's daughters, Kelly and Kacy, as her own, and together they formed a close and loving family. An avid golfer, Camille, shared many memorable trips with Craig where they visited several states and European countries. They were longtime members of Hillcrest Country Club, where Craig and Camille formed deep and lasting friendships.

Camille found great joy in her grandchildren, celebrating each of them with genuine interest and pride. She was deeply committed to her faith and served generously at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, the Agency for New Americans, and The Bishop's House. Music, watercolor painting, laughter, fashion, and entertaining friends filled her days, and she lit up every room with her radiant smile and gift of conversation.

Camille is preceded in death by her parents, Vaughton and Cleve Johnson; her stepfather, Al Heaps; and her beloved son-in-law, Paul Rebholtz. She is survived by her devoted husband, Craig Meadows; her sister, Carol Lofquist; her daughters, Ann and Amy, her stepdaughters, Kelly, Kacy, and Bevin; her nephews, Randall and Derek; 18 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and one God daughter.

Camille's life was a vivid, joyful, and unforgettable work of art. A celebration of her life will be held at St. Michael's Cathedral on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with a reception to follow at Hillcrest Country Club. Guests are encouraged to wear Vandal gear and be ready to raise a glass to our Belle of the Ball.

I am so sorry to hear of Camille´s passing. I worked with Camille at IBM in Boise from 1979 till 1993 when I retired. Her obituary described her perfectly. She was such a beautiful terrific LADY whom everybody loved.
I would occasionally see her at the market and we would reminisce about the fun we had at IBM. It
also gave me an opportunity to address her as GRANDMA based on her TV commercial.
I am so sorry I will not be able to attend the services for I live in Florida now. Please give her family my sincere condolences.
