Dear Pringle, a funny caring guy who made everyone feel special. We had some great timed. My thoughts are with you Kathy and your family.

I only found out today that John had passed.
What a sad event. My sympathy to you Kathy and your family. I worked with Pringle for many years and came to value him for his reliability, humility, great sense of humor, loyalty, and empathy. He saved my bacon more than once, and was always a steadying voice of reason, yet never seemed to appreciate his own value.
RIP Pringle. You were one of the best. I'm sure that you are in a place of light and joy.

Sorry to hear of Pringles passing. He was part of the fabric of Opunake and Maui for so many years - the first and last voice you would hear on the job or at the pub afterwards. One of the good buggers.

I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of Pringle (John), one of the kindest, sweetest and funniest people I´ve ever met. Pringle was one of my main taxi drivers when I was at Opunake High School and always brought a smile on my face every time I saw him. I loved it when he teased me in a loving and friendly way as well. He will always and forever be one of my best friends. In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

I´m not sure what to say Pringle, it is still very surreal , I will remember our last chat, your positive attitude towards everything is an inspiration to all.
It won´t be the same not seeing you call into the office.

Was a Prinkle of snow on the hill, the wind was blowing chilly, the sea was loud, the sun was out and clouds were coming and going. We got in our seats grabbed the steering wheel had a smile a tear or two and got on with it. Pringle, safe journeys to you mate.

So sorry to hear of Pringles sad passing. Kathy, Nardia and the family we send our sincere condolences to you all. Pringle was a special guy, loved and respected by all fortunate to have him as a family member, a friend, a workmate, the bus driver, a helper etc etc.

I´m still struggling with the reality he won´t be calling in for his ticket in the meat raffle.
I´ve made a list of things we think about when we think of Pringle.
Here´s a few:
Loyal, consistent, traveled, book swap(reading) Loved by us & his love for AB´s & family, our BBQ master, & speaker, surf club legend, looked after his passengers. Straight up! Not afraid to have the difficult conversations. You will know if you know.
We will definitely miss him.

We were so sad to hear of Pringle´s passing. We have the fondest memories of him from our years on the coast. Surf club, rugby, basketball and the many many social occasions that he brought so much fun and joy to. We wish you strength and our deepest sympathy at this time, Kathy and family. I knew Prinkle as the boy, the man, the friend, the husband, (to one of my BF's Kathy) a father, a grandfather and I loved them all. Many laughs and happy memories shared. RIP my friend.

It's hard to put into words what Pringle ment to so many. He will be missed by all that new him. We will miss your visits and toots as you slowly went past so I would see it was you. Your garden advise and the many laughs.

Such a beautiful kind and caring man, always a kind word and a ready smile. You were an absolute gem to Jason in the years you drove him to school Pringle and we will miss your smiley face. Your strength and optimism during your illness amazed me and was so very inspirational. Unfortunately we can't attend your farewell on Friday but want to send Kath and your family our biggest hugs at this sad time.

Sad news Kathy. A stalwart member of the 'Class of '63' was John. Tom West's 'main man' . And as the years sidled past us all, he became a stalwart member of the Opunake community. John your name joins that special list of people now past we hold dear in each of us, that are fondly remembered and having contributed your own spark of humour and wisdom into so many occasions.
