Leigh BENNETT Obituary

So sad, to hear of Leigh's passing, we will miss her terribly, we had some good laughs, our condolences to Mark and family.

I worked with Leigh for several years at the racecourse and always remember her strong work ethic and obvious love and care she had for her family. We sure had some great times!

Very sorry to hear of the sudden passing of Leigh and our condolences go out to her friends and family, including her Woolworths family, over her many years of working there we know how appreciated she was by everyone.

We first met Leigh earlier this year and she was a great person to know and a very friendly person. Although we only knew her for a few months until her sad illness, it was a pleasure to know her.

We unfortunately were not able to make her funeral today, but we hope it was a good service for Leigh.

Leigh your infectious laugh I will always remember. Your no BS attitude was always refreshing, even if it meant I had to take the stitches out of your leg in the staff room because you couldn't be arsed going to the Drs. Trading extremely bad Dad jokes, laughing together. Thankyou for being unapologetically you.

I am so sorry to hear of Leigh´s passing. Unfortunately I am away and can´t come to her funeral. She always enjoyed following my face horses and eventually she went in a race horse with us called CRAFTY COLIN. He is racing tomorrow at New Plymouth R1 and I have hopefully organised our jockey to wear a black armband to mark her passing. Hope Colin and salute the judge for her.

Leigh, popping into the storeroom just isn´t the same without you, I miss your staunch attitude and your huge laugh, you were a very special person and I loved hearing all about your grand babies that were just so proud of

So sorry to read of Leighs sudden passing, we attended Featherston Primary in the 70s, to see Leigh lived an hour from me in Taranaki. Thoughts to you all at this Sad Time..
