Leslie THOMAS Obituary

Peacefully at Taranaki Base Hospital on Monday, 12 January 2026, aged 85. Dearly loved husband of the late Eileen. Cherished father and father-in-law of Graeme & Lyuba, Paul (dec), Tia, and Bryan & Kamala. Loved Grandpop of Paula, Sean, Dean, Dima, Calin, Maryam, Esmiralda, and great-Grandpop to his great-grandchildren. Messages to the Thomas Family may be left on Les's tribute page at eagars.co.nz/les. A service to celebrate Les's life will be held at Taranaki crematorium, 639 Junction Road, New Plymouth, on Saturday 17 January 2026 at 1.00pm. Refreshments will be available at the New Plymouth Sportfishing and Underwater Club on Oceanview Parade from 3.00pm. In preference to flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice Taranaki. For those unable to attend, Les's funeral will be livestreamed via his tribute page.

I was very shocked to hear Les had passed away I have very fond memories of working with him and his brother Graham on the rig at Kapuni and also having them live next door to my parents in Hawera when Graham and Brian were young. It was always great to see him over the years. My thoughts are with the family at this time Robin and Chris Harding
