Phillip STRATFORD Obituary

Passed away suddenly on Friday 23rd May 2025 at Chalmers Rest Home, New Plymouth, aged 63 years. Son of Anna Warren and Alan Stratford (both deceased). Grandson to Jim and Constance Warren (both deceased), Dearly loved brother of Glenn, adopted son of Tony and Gloria Avery, and nephew to his uncles and aunties. A loving friend to all who knew him, including his staff at Idea Services, residents at both Seyton Street and Regan Street Stratford, IHC Society and staff at Chalmers Rest Home. Phillip lived a wonderful life and made friends easily. He had a bright, cheerful, bubbly personality, and he will leave a large hole in people's lives that he came across with his positive attitude. He would want everyone to remember as a man with a cheeky grin and laugh. A celebration of Phillips life has already taken place.

May he rest in peace and sing all the lovely songs he loved

What a shock to read this sad news, our son Kris became friends with Phillip while attending a course in New Plymouth back in the 90's, they became great mates and we would have Phillip come and stay with us when living on Monmouth Rd in Stratford, he was a character and would tell us about his trips to Aussie we have often talked about his visits, I had the pleasure of seeing him again a few years ago when I called in to Idea services in Stratford and he was still the cheerful happy guy we remembered all those years ago RIP Phillip from Kris and the Barlow family
