It is with absolute heartbreak we announce Davie's passing. We have all lost a true legend. Dave was an extremely devoted and loved father and father-in-law to Jordyn and Nick, and Daniel. Loved and treasured best mate and husband to Sandra; much loved 'Dave' to Sammy and Josh, Sarah and Lachy, Corban and Caiden; much loved brother and brother-in-law of Jimmy and Sandy, and Baz and Leanne; beloved son of the late Shirley and Dick, and a loved mate to his many friends. Davie was so courageous and brave throughout his short illness. A private cremation will be held as per Dave's wishes, however all are welcome to attend a celebration of Davie's life at the Waimate A and P Showgrounds, 26 Hakataramea Highway, Waimate, on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 1.00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the South Canterbury Hospice would be gratefully received and can be left at Dave's celebration of life. Messages to: 23 King Street, Waimate 7924.

Saddy, we haven't talked in years, my memories of the fun we got up to as teens could have been yesterday. Doing the slinky run, Grass skiing behind the ute camping at the black hole and those massive eals, duggy the dog eating all our food! Rest in peace mate. Thoughts with your family.
