Kate Walcott - Paparoa Street School
Yesterday
I have such fond memories of Fred from my time at Paparoa Street School. He was always up for a yarn and carried such a patient, calm presence, even on the many occasions when I accidentally set the alarms off. His joking, light-hearted manner, along with his genuine kindness, left a lasting impression.

Such a lovely man and always had a smile on his face. Mick was like an uncle to me growing up and I remember lots of fun times. Mick was also my first ever boss working at the Bishopdale Post Office during school holidays. Thinking of you all Mary, Neville, Kari and Tracy and sending my love. Helen Mahon (Witteman)

I met Fred for the first time earlier this year. What a lovely, kind, caring man! And from whatI was told he was a wonderful Dad to Neville, Kari & Tracey. I am so glad I got to meet you. Rest in Peace Fred. Jackie x
