Hazel FREW Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce Hazel's passing on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, aged 80. Dearly loved and devoted wife of Merv, beloved mother and mother-in-law to Dean and Kathryn, Melinda and Matthew, Rob and Lisa, Juliet and Chris, Chaz and Donna. Cherished Nana to Ruby, Harry, Molly, Jesse, Jordy, Jasmine and Amelia and Nana to Julia and Emma. Messages for the Frew family, c/- PO Box 111-01, Christchurch 8443. Flowers respectfully declined but a donation may be made to the Red Cross. A Celebration of Hazel's life will be held in the Academy Funeral Services Chapel, 65 Main South Road, Upper Riccarton, on Monday, August 4, at 1.30pm.

My deepest sympathy in the sad loss of Hazel
Not been in touch with Hazel for many years, but I do have great memories of when we were at school together. We both were at Acland House and we were actually in the same Dormitory GIBSON and were in beds next to each other. Also in the same hockey team during our time at CHCH Girls High. We had lots of fun in those days and plenty of laughs. I moved away in 1965 and lost touch with many school buddies. But always remember Hazel.
