Heather GUTHRIE Obituary

Passed away peacefully at Burwood Hospital, on Thursday, March 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous two-month battle, at the age of 76 years. Beloved wife of Brian Guthrie, devoted mother of Penelope Charon, and Sophie Guthrie, and cherished mother-in-law of Guillaume Charon, and Ben Austin. Adored grandmother of Monty, Raphael, Hazel, and Goldie, and a devoted dog mother to little Lexie. Heather was the treasured younger sister of Gay Epstein and the late David Epstein, and the beloved older sister of Richard Ashford and sister-in-law Elizabeth Ashford. She was also a very special and much-loved aunt to Rewa Epstein. Proud founder of Hands Craft Shop, a passionate collector, and lover of auctions. Heather's boundless energy, generosity, and zest for life leave an irreplaceable void in the hearts of her family and the many friends who knew and loved her so well. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Christchurch and Burwood Hospitals for their tireless care and support of Heather and her family over the last two months.
