So sorry to hear of Jan's passing at too young an age. I worked for Jan & Peter when they had their own packhouse. They were just the nicest employers one could hope to have. After they shut down their own packhouse Jan went out of her way to find her employees new jobs. It turned out to be at the same place ( Ngati Rarua) that she found a job at and those of us that ended up working there took great pride in looking after Jan & Petes apples each year. I ended up working with Jan for quite a few years after that. I always really respected Jan. She was such a nice person & I will never forget that. I always remember her talking about her ' kiri'. She loved her family & was so keen to share what they were up to at the time. Pete You probably don't remember me, but you had an awesome lovely lady for your life partner & I am so sorry you didn't get many more years to grow old together. kind regards, Dianne Rowden.

So sorry that Russell and I cannot be their for Janice´s farewell. We have very fond memories of our Sunbeam trips away. Janice´s gorgeous, vibrant personality was irresistible. She was always up for a bit of fun. Tiny in body but large in life. She has left a definite impression on us that we will always value. Holding you in our thoughts. Russell and Robyn Craw.

So sorry I can not be there on Friday. Janice ( our biggest sister) was our hero as children. Cooler than anyone else, with the Beatles tea towels on her ceiling above her bed. Many treasured memories over a lifetime. RIP Janice. Love to Pete and the family.
