Jennifer RING Obituary
Passed away on June 3, 2022, at home in her 74th year. Youngest daughter of the late Tom and Annie Ring. The beloved wife and soulmate of Ken Chamberlain for over 40 years. Loved "other" mum of Piers (and Kathryn), Erika (and Josh) and Hugh (and Kate). Granny Jen of Ruby, Harvey and Wynn. Loved sister of Jan (and Perry) Bathgate and aunt of Tracy, Andrew and Matthew and their children. A consummate home science teacher and latterly a careers advisor who taught in NZ and in the UK, Cook Islands, Fiji and Singapore. She retired from Hagley Community College in 2013 and travelled extensively from Nordkapp to Antarctica. A private cremation has been held and a celebration of Jennie's life will be held on Sunday, June 26, at 2.00pm, at the Hagley Theatre Company, 102 Champion Street, Edgeware, Christchurch. Remember Miss Ring from Diocesan. She was my homeroom teacher, careers advisor and school counsellor. A funny and vivacious teacher. Always wearing colourful clothing with her blaze of curly hair, and a huge wide smile. Warmly remembered. Condolences to her family.

Jennie was a wonderful friend and a good soul. We had many great times in Fiji and she taught me how to `do nothing´. We had a shared swear jar and would spend the money at a weekly margarita session having a good korero and lots of laughs. Jen you were and are dear to us and we will never forget you.
