Wally, Kurt and Brad I am so sorry to hear this news. I was lucky enough to have crossed paths with Joan as a reliever and a parent at South New Brighton School. We were also fortunate to have her and Wally as neighbours for a brief time on Blake Street. She was always so kind, warm and thoughtful. Such a genuine and intelligent person. I am so saddened to hear this news. My thoughts are with all her family and friends.

This was the saddest news to hear today and I'm totally shocked, Joan was a beautiful person who adores her family and know she was very excited for the next generation.

My heart felt condolences to the Wilson family, I m still in shock. It was only a few weeks ago Joan and I were gas bagging about surf stuff in the school office, a great lady, mother and will be sadly missed by many in the community.
