1952 - 2025
On April 11, at Christchurch Hospital, Mary Teresa Stewart passed away peacefully following a short illness, aged 73. Mary was a truly special soul, radiating immense warmth and genuine care for others. A beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, she naturally dedicated her life to her family, always putting their needs and wellbeing first. An artistic person who found joy in painting and gardening, she leaves behind a legacy of profound love and kindness. Cherished wife of the late Paul Stewart for 48 years, Mary is survived by her four children Amy, Jeremy, Janeve, and Julian, and her cherished grandchildren Joshua, Sophie, Mia, and Luca. She was a deeply loving mother and grandmother, and a much-loved mother-in-law to Fion. Her enduring love and presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Family and friends are warmly invited to join in a celebration of Mary's wonderful life on April 24 at 2.00pm at The Met Lounge, The Tannery, 3 Garlands Road, Woolston. Mary always wanted to stay alert and still enjoyed life even when she was less mobile. She tried to be independent throughout her illness, a real battler. Sorry I didn´t message sooner but I wasn´t aware until I visited and had a virus at the time. We both had our illnesses and it was great ti share with you Mary. Loving wishes Heather
