Suddenly at Yvette Willams Retirement Village, Dunedin. Dearly loved son of Monty and Vera Butterfield (both deceased). He will be missed by his sisters and brothers-in-law; Kay and Geoff Sneddon, Roye and Howard Haugh, Jan Butterfield and Paul Callahan (USA). Warwick was a good uncle to his nephews and nieces; Juliet Dow, John Sneddon and Allister Sneddon; Jennifer Haugh and Susan Haugh-Leach; and Jane Butterfield (Canada) and was pleased to be a Grand uncle to their children and a great-great uncle to the next generation. Kind, caring, independent, capable, intelligent, always a man of his word, and occasionally stubborn, Warwick walked his life to his own beat. He cared for his wider family, work colleagues and casual friends; for all animals, especially his cats and those he met on his walks, and for the seagulls who joined him at the Gardens bench seat too. He will be missed. - A service for Warwick will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin at 2.00pm on Saturday, September 14, followed by private cremation. Messages to the Butterfield Family, 37 Brownwille Cresent, Dunedin 9010, or on Warwick's page at
www.hopeandsons.co.nz where you can also access the livestream.
