Nigel HARRISON Obituary

On Monday, February 2, 2026, suddenly at the Camelot Motel, aged 72 years. Dearly loved husband of Debbie, respected and adored father and father-in-law of Lee Danny, Martine, Madi, Campbell and Hamish. Loving grandad to his grandchildren Maisie, Harley, Pepper, and Pax. Special thanks to the staff at the Camelot Motel who cared for Nigel on that dreadful night. Your support has been greatly appreciated. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Friends of the Museum, The French Festival and Hinewai would be appreciated and may be made at the service. Messages to the family of the late Nigel Harrison, Hope Funerals Christchurch, 27 Amyes Road, Hornby, Christchurch 8042. The Funeral Service for Nigel will be held at the Gaiety Hall, Akaroa, on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 11.30am, followed by tea and coffee in the dining area.

Oh so saddened to hear of Nigel´s passing. I saw him just in my last week of school holidays and as ever he was just the kindest person wanting to know how everything was.
I first met Nigel when my 5 year old son and I started karate 30 years ago. Nigel was super welcoming, supportive, and always saw the good in people and what we were doing.
My sincerest and heartfelt sympathy to all of his beautiful family.
