Nora GALBRAITH Obituary
(Late of Lyttelton) Peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the Christchurch Hospital. Aged 95 years. Loved daughter of the late Hugh and Mary Galbraith, loved sister of the late Isobel. Messages to the Galbraith family c/- PO Box 10345, Christchurch 8145. A private family service has been held.

I taught alongside Nora at Somerfield Primary School in the late eighties and early nineties. She was a supportive and caring Head of the Junior School and I learned a lot from her. She gave her all to the teaching profession.

Fond memories of my Primer Two teacher at Elmwood School 1945-1946 along with my Twin Jillian. She Taught us the Nursery Rhyme, Frere Jaques Dormaz Vous & sang in 3 parts. She had a Bun hairstyle.
