On Monday, April 20, 2026, peacefully at home. Much loved and devoted husband of Val, adored father and father-in-law of Yvonne and Rob, Warren and Adele, dearly loved Grandad of Lee, Jim, Jacob and Flynn, and cherished Great-Grandad of Ella and Mila. Loved brother of Lance and the late Don and Shirley, and loved uncle to many. Messages for the Grieg family, c/- PO Box 111-01, Christchurch 8443.

A Funeral to Celebrate Rex's life will be held in the Harewood Chapel, entrance from Wilkinsons Road, Harewood, on Thursday, April 23 at 1.00pm, followed by a private burial at Belfast Cemetery.
