Rex HALLINAN Obituary

Unexpectedly but peacefully passed on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at the age of 69, doing what he loved, mowing his lawns in the Christchurch afternoon sun. He had lived the past 24 years between the Gold Coast, Australia and Christchurch. Much loved father of Philip, Chris, and Brent; grandfather of Cooper, Addyson, Isabel and Jack; brother of Roger, Peter and Trevor (and the late Pam, Judith and Steven); ex-husband of Barbara Hallinan. Respected former police officer and subsequent owner of several successful businesses. As per Dad?s wishes there was no funeral and his sons have carried out his wishes with a private cremation in Christchurch. A true gentleman has been taken too early, he will be missed forever.
