I will always remember Uncle Robert as a person it was fun to be around and a keen participant in whatever sport/activity we were involved in at the time. He was firm but very fair with us and had a great sense of humour.
My most enduring memory with him was being `volunteered´ as crew on his centre board moth class yacht in the annual New Years race at French Farm. The boat was effectively a surfboard with a sail so it didn´t take us long to work out that, stiff wind or not, there simply wasn´t room for an adult male and a late teen female. We decided I would jump/slide off near the Yacht club and he would attempt to continue the race. I believe he finished but was disgusted to find the only mention he got in the results .....was being listed as "sunk". He certainly wasn´t impressed.
Brian and I send our love and condolences. He will be greatly missed. There is great comfort in knowing he is now perfect and whole in the presence of the Saviour he loved.

Our sympathies are with the family as they mourn Robert's passing and we take comfort from our shared hope in Jesus knowing that this is not the end but a transition to a new life in Christ.
