James FITZGERALD Obituary

Suddenly at Timaru Hospital, on February 18, 2026, aged 83. Dearly loved husband, for almost 60 years, of Leonie, loved father and father-in-law of Kieran and Angela, Mark and Jo, Janine and Nick, loved Pop Jim of Nerissa, Sabriah, and Tymon; Ethan, and Ava; Molly, and Lucy, loved brother of Trish Fitzgerald and the late Mary, and Monica, Sister Denise rsj, loved brother-in-law of Tony and Barbara and the late Lesley Brosnan, Michael and the late Marie Brosnan, Richard and Julija Brosnan, Marie and David Patrick, Tim and Angela Brosnan and all his niece and nephews. Loved by his special companion Zoe. A Requiem Mass for Jim will be celebrated at St Josephs Church, Wilkin St, Temuka, on Wednesday, February 25, at 11.00am, followed by interment at the Temuka Cemetery. A big thank you to Timaru Hospital and the Urology Department for their care and support. In lieu of flowers donations to St John Ambulance would be appreciated and may be left at the Mass.
