Sherwyn POMARE Obituary

Passed away peacefully at Anthony Wilding Retirement Village, Christchurch on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, aged 91. John is the beloved husband of Myrtle, dearly loved father of Carl, Sharon, Neville and Tracee. Loving big brother of Joan, Maree, Lawrence, Sharlene and the late Jimmy, Tony, Bobby and Maureen. John was proud of his large family. He is a loved Grandad of Emma, Brad, Byron, Jacqui, Kate, Kelly, Jessie, Joel, and Drew, and loved Great-Grandad of Jhai, Mateo, Grace, George, Henrietta, Maxwell, and Owen. John was born in the Chatham Islands and is a much respected elder statesman of the whole community. John was a true legend. We will honour John's amazing life in the AvonPark Chapel, 2 Kerrs Road, Linwood, on Monday, July 1, at 11.00am.
