Died peacefully on 17 December 2025, aged 87. Much missed by husband Rhys, and three children Quentin, Sara-Jean and Nansi. Margaret died just eight weeks before her 60th wedding anniversary. Margaret had a truly remarkable career and creative life: A conchologist at Dominion Museum, Wellington and at Museum of Natural History, New York; NZ delegate at the ILO in Geneva; pioneering Guardians of Paremata Harbour; coordinating NZVSA work in the Solomon Islands; and 12 years with Porirua Citizens Advice Bureau. Margaret was popular and much loved, a dedicated and wonderful mother, with loving friends around the world and no critics. Special thanks to all staff at the Mary Potter Hospice for their care over her last few weeks. In accord with Margaret's wishes, a private cremation has been held.
