So very sorry to hear this sad news, Russ. Edwina was a gentle and caring lady, and loved by all her met her. It was so lovely catching up again with you and Edwina at Valerie Millington's book launch last year where we had some great trips down memory lane. I'm thinking of you and your family at this time.

I have met Russ and Edwina mostly by association with the Giles family (Laurence and Melanie) who are our friends, they used to work for the Rimmingtons, (I recall with the Yum Yum yacht rebuild) and the Giles always spoke very highly of them, and when meeting them, we do also, even though we are not close friends or acquaintances. They were always warm and hospitable, high achievers with a strong community service ethic and a remarkable contribution in that area to Hamilton and the Waikato. Edwina has made a positive contribution with Russ and we are all the better for them being among us. Our sincere condolences to Russ and the family.

My sincere condolences to Russ and the family as they grieve the loss of Edwina, a woman of immense warmth and generosity. I met her when I was CEO at Anglican Action and we were establishing Te Ara Hou village. Edwina caught the vision for the establishment of a residential centre for women and children and advocated for it to Russ who successfully lobbied Council to purchase the land. At its opening Edwina donated two beautiful paintings for the Centre. Your legacy of compassion remains Edwina. Rest in Peace - Karen Morrison-Hume

Dear Russ and family.
I was saddened to hear of Edwina´s death. My sincere condolences to you all. I´m only sorry that I will not be able to attend the funeral, as I am unwell, live in Auckland, and unable to make the journey to Hamilton.
