Irvana ANTONEL Obituary

Passed away peacefully at Malvina Major Rest Home on 21 January 2026, aged 92, following a brief illness. Beloved daughter of Onorio and Augusta (Ista) (both dec), and loved sister and sister-in-law of Ido and Pauline (both dec). Zia and pro zia of Tania, Paul, Emma, Melissa, Heath and Reid. Loved by her many aunts, uncles, cousins and their families in Italy. Loved and long-standing family friend of Giovanni and Armida (both dec); Anna, Peter, Emma and Julia; Iris and Rino (both dec); Marcello and Kerry (dec); Cristina and Alan; Rina and Guido (dec), Daniela (dec), Paolo and Lucia and their families; and Teresina and Mario (dec), Bruno and Cathy (Italy). Irvana will also be remembered fondly by her dear friends. We are very thankful to the doctors, nurses and carers at Wellington Hospital and Malvina Major Rest Home for their kind and dedicated care of Irvana during her short stays at both. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wellington Free Ambulance, at the service or via the website, would be appreciated. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Irvana at the Home of Compassion Chapel, 2 Rhine Street, Island Bay, at 11.00am, on Tuesday 27th January 2026, followed by cremation at Karori Crematorium Chapel.
