Passed away peacefully on Sunday 1st February 2026 at Wellington Hospital. Dearly loved husband of Sue. Beloved father of Tim & Nick. Loved brother of Harold and the late Andrew. Loving Grandad Peter of his grandchildren. A celebration of Peter's life will be held at Cedarwood, 17 Parata Street, Waikanae, on Saturday 7 February at 2.30pm. Donations in remembrance of Peter may be made to Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors without Borders) www.msf.org.nz Messages to the family may be sent c/- PO Box 300, Waikanae 5250.

My heart goes out to Sue and all the family at this time of loss felt by everyone who knew Peter. Peter and I knew each other through the love of dance over many years whether it be sequence or line dancing. This is a quote I'd like to share 'Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance to the music of the rain" and that's what Peter did. I just know you'll be dancing through the clouds now and always my friend.
