Margaret was such a dynamic woman with a heart for her family, her community and her faith. A great leader and motivator, gracious and beautiful always. We gave her a great farewell thanks Michael, Jeremy, Anna and Katrina and family. I love to share this photo taken July 2024

Fond memories of a quietly spoken gracious woman with a beautiful singing voice who sang my favourite hymn at my wedding but changed the words to suit the occasion.

In today´s (29 December 2025) internet copy of the Taranaki Daily News via Legacy.com I saw the death notice for Margaret Mary Smith.
To all the Smith family, especially to Michael and Jeremy, whom I remember well from those far off days at FDMC, I offer my sincere sympathy.
With her death the final curtain now comes down, on so much that has been part of your own lives, leaving no doubt many happy memories of the years gone so quickly. You were blessed with wonderful parents.
May the Good Lord welcome Margaret home with outstretched arms, and may she with Peter be forever at peace.
